MAMATOTO.... Means
"motherbaby" (Minnesota) Birth and Bonding Support Improving Mother Baby Health Through Labor Support -Mamatoto takes phone calls from mothers-to-be, nurses and others to find volunteer doulas -Mamatoto does not hire doulas, or stand behind any particular one. -Third Party Planning -Volunteer doulas 10545 Humboldt Ave. So. Mnpls., MN 55431-3118 952-888-6929 Mamatoto Birth and Bonding Support Bringing Doulas to High Need Mothers and Bringing Doulas to Materity Care Services Mamatoto is a registered
nonprofit that takes the doula community to the next step. We have a
healthy supply of doulas in our area, but many women can not afford
doulas. If doulas don't get paid regularly then they can't afford to
work as doulas and
gradually quit. Mamatoto works for third party payment so doula care
doesn't have to be for the well off or done as a hobby. We are also
making
promotional videos. Any parents who would like their doula experience
videoed can receive a wonderful keepsake video, edited with titles for
sharing scenes (discrete of course!) for this project. For information
on having your birth and/or your doula get-togethers videoed, or any
other
questions about Mamatoto, call Gail Tully, 952-888-6929. |
