OBJECTIVES
Through power point slides,group
activities and small group discussion
participants will be able to:
•Identify how prenatal attachment
impacts the parenting experience of
pregnancy and what happens when a
baby dies
• Describe “protective parenting ”
behaviors observed in bereaved
parents
•
Identify three behaviors fathers/
partners may exhibit in respond to
loss and ways to support their role in
pregnancy
•
Identify useful interventions to
support families in your practice when
a baby dies and in the subsequent
pregnancy
CREDIT
This conference meets the MN board of nursing
requirements for 7.4 contact hours.ICEA credits
may be obtained retroactively.
