Aware Parenting Twin Cities
"I just started a yahoo group in order to connect with like-minded families living in the Twin Cities area (Minneapolis & St. Paul, Minnesota).

Amy Roff a_roff@yahoo.com and 763-422-1520
My goal is to have a weekly (more-or-less) group meeting where we can have discussions and to support one another in this journey of parenthood. This meeting would be open and wouldn't require a commitment.

Please pass the link on to anyone that might have an interest in this support group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/InstinctiveParentingTwinCities

to: All creative minds and your friends musicians, artists, dancers, singers, unschoolers, free-thinkers, and so on

what: Free-Spirit Tuesdays

when: Tuesdays from 4 p.m. - Dusk

where: Beards Plaisance park in South Minneapolis  W 45th St & Upton Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55410  (west side of Lake Harriet);  http://www.minneapolisparks.org/default.asp?PageID=547

what to bring: friends, snacks, blankets to sit on, instruments, art-in-progress, interesting ideas and topics of conversation, an open  mind

why: Since there's no real town center or plaza in the Twin Cities where there could be a sense of community, we are creating one.  Show up on Tuesday and find a variety of interesting people to talk to, dance, sing or just be with.
